Our second mare, Harley (formerly Bitsy) came to DH in 2020.  A firey red head, we often laugh that we have a chestnut mare...what were we thinking?  But she is anything but a typical mare.  Born in 2012, she suffered a devastating injury to her heel bulb and was sold as a broodmare.  She will never be perfect, so DH is always looking for ways to help her be as comfortable as we can. Movement is key and we let her go at her pace, choosing the chldren that she works with.  She is well intertwined in our hearts and we know that the journey to healing is well worth the ups and downs, she is a one in a million mare with a heart as big as she is.

Reserved for only certain riders, she takes who she can and lets us know when she needs time to rest.
